On Thursday 27th October, South Africa meets Bangladesh at the SCG for both teams’ second match of Group 2.
Bangladesh were victorious in their first outing of this World Cup as they beat Holland by 9 runs. The standout performer for the tigers was their opening fast bowler Taskin Ahmed as he took 4 wickets for 25 runs from his 4 overs.
South Africa’s first game against Zimbabwe was unfortunately rained out. The match was not without controversy but both sides ended up sharing the two point.
Normally, Bangladesh has been capable of causing upsets, however, their form of late, particularly in T20 cricket has not been strong. As exemplified by their winless Tri-Nations series tournament in New Zealand prior to this World Cup.
