India v Pakistan T20 Women’s World Cup tips
February 10, 2023
India Women have strong claims to win the 2023 T20 World Cup after a strong performance in the 2020 tournament where they reached the final before eventually losing to Australia. The Women in Blue have been drawn in Group B and handed a favourable opener when they clash with international rivals.
While the India and Pakistan men’s team have enjoyed some ding-dong battles when it comes to T20 clashes, we are unlikely to see a competitive match between these two sides. The Indians look superior in every department and have batters who can rack up the runs to claim a straightforward win.

Deepti Sharma has proved herself to be a smart all-rounder and the left-hander has proven for both Bengal and India that she is capable of putting together solid knocks. Therefore we can be confident that she will be able to score at least 34 runs providing that she is given the opportunity.
She has a modest average of 23.03 when it comes to this format internationally, although the Birmingham Phoenix player is up against a bowling attack who are going to struggle to take wickets in this clash.
BETTING TIP: Deepti Sharma Over 33.5 Runs @ 1.83 with 4raBet
Australia v New Zealand T20 Women’s World Cup tips
February 10, 2023
It’s the battle of the two Antipodean teams in this 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Group A clash, with Australia and New Zealand meeting at Boland Park in Paarl. As with many of the Twenty20 encounters in this tournament, the bookmakers are expecting a one-sided encounter.
Australia are the reigning champions after beating India in the 2020 World Cup final, with that 85-run victory following a win over South Africa in the semi-finals and the Southern Stars could be the team to beat this time.

Captain Meg Lanning will lead her team into battle and she looks capable of racking up a sizeable run total, with the Victoria and Melbourne Stars operator one of the most experienced operators after already featuring in 126 T20I’s.
With a batting average of 36.22, there is every reason to think that Lanning can make the most of things against a modest bowling attack from New Zealand, with the Aussie skipper making more appeal than favourite Beth Mooney who can be vulnerable to slower balls.
BETTING TIP: Meg Lanning top Australia run scorer @ 4.00 with Megapari
England v Pakistan – 2022 Men’s T20 World Cup Final, Match 45
November 11, 2022
On Sunday 13th November at the MCG, the 2022 Men’s T20 World Cup reaches its climax as England and Pakistan battle it out in the final to be declared World T20 Champions. Both teams will be looking to add a second T20 World Cup trophy to their cabinet as Pakistan won it back in 2009 and England in 2010.
Pakistan booked their place in the final as they eased past New Zealand, winning the match by 7 wickets. The Pakistani bowlers were outstanding, in particular, Shaheen Shah Afridi (2-24) and then it was a return to form for their outstanding openers, Mohammed Rizwan and Babar Azam, who both registered their first fifties of the tournament.
Who would have thought Pakistan would have made it this far having lost their first two games against India and Zimbabwe? Having won their last four games, it is the Pakistani bowlers who have led the way. According to the CricViz, their bowlers have had the greatest bowling impact of any team at the tournament. It is not only their pace attack but also the spin of Shadab Khan that has been extremely impressive.
Surprisingly, England was comprehensively able to dispatch India in their semi-final. They sealed a dramatic 10-wicket victory, thanks to Captain Jos Buttler and Alex Hales who both scored 80-odd each, and this was set up by the bowlers who restricted India to a below-par total.
England’s batting quality and depth are extraordinary and make them an extremely threatening opponent for anyone. While England’s top order has dominated their last few games, their middle order looks light on runs. Sam Curran has been a huge find for them but the loss of Mark Wood and Dawid Malan is likely to hurt England.
Overall, on paper, Pakistan’s bowlers look stronger than England but England’s batting line-up looks stronger than Pakistan’s. This, therefore, is shaping up to be a cracker of a game. Despite their injuries, I think England’s batting quality, power, and depth will be too much for Pakistan. And if it is a shortened game due to rain this could play further into England’s hands.
Let’s also not forget about Ben Stokes in England’s side. He is a big-match player and always steps up when his team needs him. He will be looking to make amends after the heartbreak of his final over in 2016.
BETTING TIP: England to win @ 1.62 with bet365
BONUS BETTING TIP: Ben Stokes to be England’s Player of the Match @ 13.0 with bet365
India v England – Men’s T20 World Cup Semi-Final 2, Match 44
November 9, 2022
On Thursday 10th November India faces England at the Adelaide Oval in the second semi-final of the 2022 Men’s T20 World Cup, with the winner going on to face Pakistan at the MCG on Sunday. Having failed at this stage at the 2021 T20 World Cup England will be looking to go one better this year. While this is India’s first semi-final since the 2016 T20 World Cup. Both teams are looking to add a second World T20 title to their trophy cabinets.
India sealed their place in the semi-finals by comprehensively beating Zimbabwe by 71 runs. All the bowlers were able to pick up wickets, while KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav (now the number 1 ranked T20 batsmen in the world) were the stars with the bat.
Despite their loss to South Africa, India has been the form team at this world cup. Their top 4 are looking dangerous and dominant, specifically Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli, and even without Jasprit Bumrah, the bowling attack has performed very well.
England defeated Sri Lanka in a tight contest at the SCG to earn their semi-final place. The pace of Mark Wood was too much for the Sri Lankan middle order as he caused a collapse and picked up 3 wickets in the process. Then Alex Hales and Ben Stokes were able to steer England home in a tricky run chase.
England’s win over New Zealand was their best performance so far but it still feels as if England has not been at their best so far but definitely still has the ceiling to do so. However, Dawid Malan picked up an injury in the field against Sri Lanka, so England will be without their highest-ranked T20 batsman. England may play Phil Salt in his place or may choose to add an extra bowler in Chris Jordan.
The loss of Dawid Malan, who has been so consistently good in T20 cricket for such a long period of time now, is likely to hurt England. Because of this and India’s consistently strong performances throughout the tournament, expect India to win and for Hardik Pandya to be at the heart of it.
BETTING TIP: India to win @ 1.8 with bet365
BONUS BETTING TIP: Hardik Pandya to be player of the match @ 12.0 with bet365
New Zealand v Pakistan – Men’s T20 World Cup Semi-Final 1, Match 43
November 7, 2022
On Wednesday 9th November the first semi-final of the Men’s 2022 T20 World Cup gets underway as Pakistan face off against New Zealand at the SCG. This is the Kiwi's 4th consecutive time making it to the T20 World Cup semi-finals while this is Pakistan’s, record-breaking, 6th semi-final appearance.
Amazingly Pakistan was able to seal their semi-final sport in their final match against Bangladesh winning by 5 wickets and also thanks to the Netherlands who were able to upset South Africa. Pakistan looked down and out have lost their first two matches against India and Zimbabwe, albeit very, very tight losses.
According to the statistics, Pakistan’s bowling attack has been the most effective at this World Cup. This includes the leg-spin of Shadab Khan who is their leading wicket-taker so far. A further positive for Pakistan is the form of Iftikar Ahmed, however, on a more worrying note is the lack of form of their two talismanic openers, Mohammed Rizwan and Babar Azam, who have both struggled to make any sort of contribution so far.
New Zealand set the tone for their dominant group stage display with a thumping win over hosts and current T20 World Champions Australia. Since then they have suffered only one defeat versus England and subsequently sealed their semi-final spot in their final match with a win over Ireland by 35 runs.
A return to form for captain Kane Williamson against Ireland is extremely important for the Kiwis. While Glenn Phillips has shown he is in the form of his life, with some extraordinary batting displays already at this tournament. Moreover, the spin partnership of Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi has also been extremely effective during the middle overs for the Black Caps.
Despite their early losses versus India and Zimbabwe, Pakistan is starting to peak at the right time. Their fast bowlers are looking very effective in Australian conditions. Expect their batsmen to be able to tame the Kiwi spinners and for Pakistan’s skipper, Babar Azam, to stand up in this high-pressure game. Despite Pakistan being slight underdogs according to the bookies, expect them to snatch the win and reach the final.
BETTING TIP: Pakistan to win @ 2.0 with bet365
BONUS BETTING TIP: Babar Azam to be Pakistan’s top batter @ 3.75 with bet365
The beauty of T20 cricket is that any team on their day can beat any other team. All it can take is for one person to have a good day with the bat or bowl that can win their team the match. However, this makes T20 cricket very hard to predict.
Cricket World Cup – Bookies Favourites
At this World Cup the favourites are the reigning champions and hosts Australia. Their team has hardly changed since their World Cup win last year in the UAE and in home conditions, they will prove to be an even stronger.
Best Batting Line-up
England’s and India’s batting line-ups look the most dangerous at the tournament but both sides’ bowling look slightly weaker than that of Australia’s as both sides’ attacks have also sustained injuries prior to the tournament. Pakistan, South Africa, and New Zealand also look like very good sides, with match winners in all three teams.
Due to the nature of T20 cricket it is very rare that the pre-tournament favourites go on to win it, as shown in the World Cup last year with Australia not even being considered as title contenders prior to the tournament. Therefore, it makes sense to not bet with the tournament favourite.
Our Tournament Favourites
Having both missed out on the final at the last World Cup expect England and India to right those wrongs and reach the final at this World Cup. As mentioned, both batting line-ups are extremely strong, and the teams are littered with match winner and T20 superstars.
But I believe India will be crowned World Champions at this World Cup despite missing spinner Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah. I think their top 4 of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav are all going to have an extremely dominant tournament and ultimately lead their side to a second World T20 title.

Cricket World Cup Team Betting Tips
Australia
Australia: Top Batter Betting Tip
TIP: Mitchell Marsh to be Australia’s top batter @ 5.5 with bet365
Australia’s batting line up is looking very settled. There is only one change to it since the last 2021 T20 World Cup, that being, the big hitting T20 sensation Tim David, who has come in for Steve Smith.
With the drop in form of Aaron Finch in recent years two names stand out as the keys to Australia’s batting line-up. David Warner and Mitchell Marsh – the stars of the 2021 World Cup Final – will look to build on their success at the previous World Cup.
Mitchell Marsh, in particular, loves Australian conditions, with his preference for hitting fast-bowling and has done so for many years in the Big Bash. Expect him to be Australia’s top batter.
Australia: Top Bowler Betting Tip
TIP: Josh Hazlewood to be Australia’s top bowler @ 3.25 with bet365
Australia’s bowling attack also looks very settled, with seamers Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Pat Cummins and then the spin of Adam Zampa.
Adam Zampa has been Australia’s best limited overs bowler in the world for some time now and is arguably one of the greatest in the world at the moment. However, teams will recognise this and look to play more defensively against him, reducing his wicket taking options.
Mitchell Starc always performs well at World Cups; however, it is hard to look past the number one ranked T20 bowler, Josh Hazlewood. He has developed into one of the best T20 bowlers in the world and expect him to be effective on home soil.
New Zealand
New Zealand: Top Batter Betting Tip
TIP: Devon Conway to be New Zealand’s top batter @ 2.88 with bet365
In the T20 Tri Nations Series Tournament, the two opening batsmen for New Zealand were the standouts in their batting line-up. The young and aggressive batting style of Finn Allen and the more experienced Devon Conway.
Skipper Kane Williamson’s T20 form has been poor of late, despite a fifty in the Tri Nations Series Final against Pakistan. While Devon Conway has been ‘Mr Consistent’ for New Zealand, so expect him to be their top run scorer.
New Zealand: Top Bowler Betting Tip
TIP: Trent Boult to be New Zealand’s top bowler @ 3.25 with bet365
The ever-present Tim Southee and Trent Boult are always two of New Zealand’s prime weapons in their bowling attack. They are ably supported by the extreme pace of Lockie Ferguson.
On quick Australian pitches Ferguson will be a big threat, however it is hard to look past Trent Boult. His experience, left-arm angle, and his ability to move the new ball will be key for New Zealand’s success.
Afghanistan
Afghanistan: Top Batter Betting Tip
Najibullah Zadran and Hazratullah Zazai have had big success for Afghanistan in T20 cricket, with both have an average of more than 30. However, neither have played much cricket in Australia before.
Mohammed Nabi is very experienced in Australian conditions having played in the Big Bash for many seasons. Expect Afghanistan’s captain to be their top run scorer.
BETTING TIP: Mohammed Nabi to be Afghanistan’s top batter @ 7.00 with bet365
Top Bowler
Afghanistan’s bowling attack is dominated by their world-class spinners. Rashid Khan (Adelaide Strikers), Mujeeb ur Rahman (Brisbane Heat), and Mohammed Nabi (Melbourne Renegades) all have experience playing in Australia, having played in the Big Bash.
Teams will likely look defend Rashid Khan due to his T20 world-class status and try and limit his wicket-taking ability. So, expect Mujeeb ur Rahman, with his ability to bowl with the new ball and spin it both ways to be Afghanistan’s top wicket-taker.
BETTING TIP: Mujeeb ur Rahman to be Afghanistan’s top bowler @ 3.75 with bet365
England
England: Top Batter Betting Tip
TIP: Alex Hales to be England’s top batter @ 3.25 with bet365
It is difficult to look past England’s top order as contenders to be their top run scorer. Jos Butler, Alex Hales, and Dawid Malan are all in good form and in the past have shown their ability to be able to dominate in Australia.
Having recently been brought back into the England side expect Alex Hales to pip his top-order partners. Hales has been dominant in the Big Bash for many years now, showing his consistency in Australian conditions. Expect him to relish the big stage and be England’s top run scorer.
England: Top Bowler Betting Tip
TIP: Sam Curran to be England’s top bowler @ 8.00 with bet365
England’s highest ranked T20 bowler Reece Topley has unfortunately been ruled out on the eve of the World Cup with an ankle injury. More pressure will now fall on the likes of Mark Wood and Chris Woakes to take wickets.
However, in the lead up to the tournament Sam Curran has also been extremely impressive, showing good form with the ball. His left-arm angle, ability to move the new-ball, his slower ball armoury and his ability to take crucial wickets at key moments should prove to be very effective at this World Cup.
India
India: Top Batter Betting Tip
TIP: Virat Kohli to be India’s top batter @ 3.75 with bet365
It is very tight to call between India’s top four. Suryakumar Yadav is the form player in world T20 cricket right now. KL Rahul has been dominant for India for a long time now and then two modern day greats in Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
Kohli has begun to show signs of his best form once again, having broken his hundred drought against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup. Kohli has also previously been very dominant in Australian conditions in the past. Expect Kohli to be back at his masterful best and be India’s top batter at this World Cup.
India: Top Bowler Betting Tip
TIP: Mohammed Shami to be India’s top bowler @ 6.00 with bet365
India’s bowling attack is missing two of their premier bowlers with spinner Ravindra Jadeja and fast-bowler Jasprit Bumrah both being ruled out of the World Cup before the tournament.
Axar Patel with his left arm spin has shown to be successful in Test cricket in Australia and could replicate this in the 20-over format. But expect Bumrah’s replacement, veteran fast bowler Mohammed Shami to step up and be India’s top bowler.
Pakistan
Pakistan: Top Batter Betting Tip
BETTING TIP: Mohammed Rizwan to be Pakistan’s top batter @ 2.00 with bet365
Pakistan’s openers have been very dominant in T20 cricket for a long time now. Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan are two of the best T20 players in the world right now and arguably the best opening partnership at this World Cup.
You can’t look past these two and it is a tough one to call out of the two of them. Rizwan has been the slightly more consistent and without the burden of captaincy, unlike Babar, expect him to be Pakistan’s top run scorer.
Pakistan: Top Bowler Betting Tip
BETTING TIP: Shaheen Shah Afridi to be Pakistan’s top bowler @ 3.25 with bet365
It is Pakistan’s fast bowling attack that will look very dangerous to other teams at this World Cup in Australian Conditions. Young Naseem Shah has stood up in recent months in the absence of Shaheen Shah Afridi. Haris Rauf and Mohammed Hasnain have both played and done well in the Big Bash in recent years.
But on his return from injury, expect Pakistan’s premier fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi to be their top wicket taker. His pace, left-arm angle, and ability to swing the new ball will make him very threatening to all batsmen.
Bangladesh
Bangladesh: Top Batter Betting Tip
BETTING TIP: Shakib al Hasan to be Bangladesh’s top batter @ 3.25 with bet365
Bangladesh’s batting line-up will rely heavily on captain Shakib al Hasan and opener Litton Das. Both showed good form in the recent Tri-Nations Series in New Zealand.
Expect the Bangladesh captain, Shakib al Hasan, to lead his team well on the batting front and have a good tournament with the bat, continuing his form on from the series in New Zealand.
Bangladesh: Top Bowler Betting Tip
BETTING TIP: Mustafizur Rahman to be Bangladesh’s top bowler @ 3.5 with bet365
With his wealth of experience Shakib al Hasan is usually Bangladesh’s go to bowler, however the skipper’s bowling was not effective in the recent Tri-Nations Series tournament in New Zealand. Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud bowled economically throughout that series.
However, Bangladesh’s bowling is likely to rely on Mustafizur Rahman. Like his captain he has played and performed well in the IPL in the past. His left-arm angle, his many slower-ball variations and his ability to bowl yorker’s makes him Bangladesh’s most dangerous bowler.
South Africa
South Africa: Top Batter Betting Tip
BETTING TIP: Reeza Hendriks to be South Africa’s top batter @ 5.5 with bet365
Quinton de Kock is the big name in the South African batting line-up but has struggled to score consistent runs for a period of time now. David Miller is also one of the premier South African batters, but if he is batting down at five or six, he may not get the time in the middle necessary to be their top run scorer.
Reeza Hendriks has been South Africa’s most consistent T20 batter for South Africa this year. Expect him to continue this streak at this World Cup and be the Proteas leading run scorer.
South Africa: Top Bowler Betting Tip
BETTING TIP: Kagiso Rabada to be South Africa’s top bowler @ 3.25 with bet365
South Africa’s have very good spinners in Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi, but it will most likely be the fast bowlers who prove to be more effective in Australian conditions.
Rabada, Nortje, and Ngidi are all extremely quick and high-skilled bowlers. It is hard to look past Kagiso Rabada. Rabada can bowl an any time in the innings, has pace, can bowl yorker’s, slower balls and is ultimately a competitor. Expect him to be South Africa’ top bowler.
About The Tournament
The main stage of this ICC T20 World Cup will be formed with two groups of six. “Group 1” will consist of Afghanistan, Australia, England, and New Zealand, as well as the winner of “Group A” and runner-up of “Group B” from the first stage of the tournament. “Group 2” consists of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and South Africa, plus the “Group A” runner-up and “Group B” winner.
In the group stages teams will play five matches – one against the five other teams in their group. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals with the winner of “Group 1” playing the “Group 2” runner-up and, in the following semi-final, the “Group 2” winner playing the “Group 1” runner up.
The available betting options for the World Cup are the same as normal fixtures with punters being able to bet on individual matches. However, in addition to individual matches, fans are also able to bet on who will reach the final, and a team’s top batter (highest run scorer) or top bowler (highest wicket-taker) across the whole tournament.
