London Spirit have been practically foot-perfect in The Hundred so far, with the team from the English capital claiming five victories in their six games played. Trevor Bayliss has presided over some excellent performances during the 2022 campaign and we’re confident they can bank another win on Saturday.
Eoin Morgan has been something of a white-ball specialist for several years and has prospered for England at One Day International level, so it’s no exactly a surprise that Spirit are enjoying lots of success against the other teams competing in The Hundred.
These two teams actually played each other in the season opener which saw London claim a narrow three-run victory. Morgan was up to his usual tricks when notching 47 runs off 29 balls and this ultimately proved to be the difference in the end.
Spirit then enjoyed a comprehensive win over Manchester Originals before overcoming Southern Brave and Northern Superchargers. The only blot on the copybook came when losing to Trent Rockets, although they might still prove to be too strong for the Invincibles.
It has been three wins and three defeats for Tom Moody’s side who are battling to qualify for the end-of-season Eliminator. They have picked up wins against Welsh Fire, Northern Superchargers and Southern Brave, although they have now suffered back-to-back defeats against Trent Rockets and Birmingham Phoenix.
