The second match on Sunday 6th November is likely to be the tightest of the 3 games on the day as Pakistan face Bangladesh, again at the Adelaide Oval.
Although unlikely, it is still possible for the winner of this match to still qualify for the semi-final, but they will have to rely on one of South Africa or India losing. The loser of this match will mean the tournament is over.
Considering their results prior to the World Cup Bangladesh has put in a much-improved showing. In their last match, they gave India a big scare but unfortunately fell just short by 5 runs. Litton Das was the star who lit the run chase alight with his 60 off 27 balls. Taskin Ahmed has also had a very good tournament, and against India, he only conceded 15 runs off his 4 overs.
Pakistan kept their semi-final chance alive when they beat South Africa in their previous match. They will be conceded over the form of their star opening batsmen but relieved that the middle-order was able to perform, namely, Iftikar Ahmed and Shadab khan. They will also be thrilled to see a return to form for their star bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi who took 3 for 14 off 3 overs.
After a poor start to the tournament, Pakistan has rebuilt and looks like they are near their thrilling best again. Expect them to finish strongly and record a win over Bangladesh.
